5) Ice Skating, Peterborough

What’re Christmas celebrations without ice skating? With several Planet Ice’s located around Britain, there is bound to be one close to you – so there is no excuse! What’s more? to celebrate Christmas Santa Claus will be joining you on the Planet Ice rinks every weekend in December from 12pm-4pm and then every day from 21st-24th December 12pm-4pm. 6) St Neots Christmas Light Switch On

Visit St Neots for their annual Christmas Light Switch On on the 25th December from 12pm-6pm! Every year the town first lights up with funfair rides and performances on the main stage, then ends the night with the big reveal of the lights and a spectacular firework display. This is a little bit further out of Cambridgeshire, we know, but if you ever find yourself in London from the 22nd November-1st January 2019, this is a place that should 100% be added to your itinerary. Every day, as nighttime falls and the animals are tucked peacefully into bed, the Christmas spirit comes out to play and the Zoo welcomes you to its very own Wonderland.
